No audio HP Envy 13
My Windows 10 version is still 1803
I can not update the Realtec driver past version 8437.
Version 8454 and 8549 as suggested by HP update dont work.
I get no audio at all with updated drivers.
As a result i can not update Windows to the latest version which is 1903.
As soon as i update driver nr 8437 to version 8454 or to 8549 the version needed by windows 1903 i have no more sound
Since windows 1903 does not work with driver 8437 there is no way to get the sound working after the update.
I tried all the troubleshooting options supplied by HP.
Nothing works, so for now i reverted to windows 10 version 1803 with driver 8437
Please sugges how to update to windows version 1903 with sound

I have installed a fresh windows 10 and now the B&0 icon and application is no more working also the sound settings is showing a troubleshoot option. Help is appreciated

adudio services shuts off if computer goes into sleep or hibernation mode.
i have a hp envy x360. it is completely stock. when i turn the computer on or restart the computer audio plays fine through the bang &olufsen speakers but if the computer sits idle and the screen shuts of or the computer goes to sleep, when the computer starts back up i get an error message that the audio services have stopped and nothing will load. no youtube no music no nothing. the audio driver troubleshooter runs and it tells me that there are no audio services running and tells me to reboot. i should not have to reboot the device every time i want to use this computer. does anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? i have already reinstalled the conexant driver but i still get the same issue. i have read through the forums and i haven't seen any fixes for the conexant driver only the realtex. any help would b appreciated

After bios update, my audio is not working
- I updated my bios and then audio symbol is showing red Cross on it.
- No sound or headphones are available. I tried everything. I tried to reinstall audio drivers. Restored my system but bios version didn't change.
- I tried to downgrade my bios. It is showing signature not verified. By using efi partition, I copied F.42 bios file in hp bios folder and tried to install. But still it shows signature not verified.
- What should I do??

Microphone array recording volume too low on HP Pavilion x360
Dear all
I have tried the following drivers: 6.0.1.8522, 6.0.1.8544, 6.0.1.8622
but when trying to record anything in the Voicerecorder app, or on the Skype connection test,
the volume of the recorded voice is bearly hearable, even when raising my voice significantly.
The microphone array is set to 100% in the HP Audio control panel;
The issue occurs with both HP Noise Cancellation disabled or enabled.
I'd really like to know if this is a known issue and what potential solutions are available.

Sound is only loud sometimes
When I boot my computer up the audio is normal and when set to max the speakers are very loud, however after about 5-10 minutes the audio gets noticeably quieter without me doing anything to the computer itself. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I've also tried locating the audio enhancements page on my computer, but I couldn't find it. Is there any way to prevent my speakers from taking this large dip in volume?

Low buzz when playing sound
Hello there,
I have an issue with my sound: when I play any sound over external speakers, a low frequency buzz plays in the background. This problem randomly started a while ago, and I have not been able to fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers, as well as the chipset and graphic drivers and updating the BIOS. This did not change anything.
When I run an audio component test in the BIOS, the sound comes out perfecly fine, without the buzz.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated! 🙂

My notebook had no sound for 2 weeks.
- Found Red X at audio symbol, "No Audio output Device is installed" shown
- Run Audio troubleshooter - not helping
- Re-install the Audio drivers - not helping
- Windows Updates - done all updates but still not helping

the video stops everytime i connect the headphone to the device and doesn't start anymore
It didn't help me at all. went through both troubleshooters, everything looked fine when the test sounds played, it made me restart the machine and then when I logged in again the problem was still there and still the same. Can we get a real solution, please?
