Spectre x360 13 audio distortion

Hi,

My left and right speakers do not work for separate reasons.

My right speaker stopped working in 2016.

My left speaker's sound recently became granulated and distorted beyond recognition, after a thermal shutdown occurred. I have updated and re-installed all drivers and ran the audio troubleshooter, which detects audio to be fully operational. I suspect this is a hardware issue.

If so, I would like help and advice on potentially replacing my speakers.

Thank you.

 - My HP Envy Beats used to have decent sound but this has since disappeared and sounds like a cheap tinny sounding.  I have read that Windows 10 Updates can affect the sound and I am not able to find a fix on the Internet that will help fix this.  What are the suggestions?

Sound playing from both internal speakers & headphones, when headphones are plugged in

After a recent update from windows, the internal speakers stopped working and there was a red cross on the audio icon. So I first uninstalled the audio Driver and reinstalled Realtek Hd Audio Driver. But now on plugging in the headphone, the sound plays through the headphone and laptop speakers at the same time. I've tried re-installing drivers numerous times but nothing has worked. How can I solve this?

B&O driver uninstalled while triying to solve audio problem

Product name: HP Pavilion 15 cw1004la

Dear community,

I purchased this laptop recently on Sam's club on México and it came preinstalled with B&O.

A few days ago, I realized some issues with my laptop, but the main one was volume tended to vary even when I set it up to 100%, decreasing automatically from time to time.

I tried to solve it following some forum advises, hence, I installed RealTek's driver. Problem was solved then, but when I wanted to use the B&O equalizer I could notice it was uninstalled. It seems it happened when I updated RealTek's driver.

Is there any way it can be installed again?

Really looking forward to your response and thank you so much in advance!

- Luis Herrera.

Integrated speakers and microphopne non longer appear in device manager list

I use a BOSE Sound link mini with my laptop - however to use Skype I use the integrated speakers and microphone.

The Bose mini sound link was connected to the laptop - after turning it off I had no sound from the integrated speakers.

So far I have used

1. Trouble shooter - no effect.

2. HP troubleshooting services - no effect

3. Updated drivers in Device manager - no effect

4. Uninstalled drivers in device manager - no effect, the devices are no longer visible in Device manager.

5. Downloaded drivers from Hp and run the install procedure - no effect.

6. Restored the laptop from a date prior to the issue - no effect

I know that I have uninstalled the device drivers and so thats why they dont appear in the device manager list - which drivers do i need to download and install to repair the issue?

An suggestions?

Laptop Audio Not Working

Hi,

I hope you're doing well.

A few days ago, my laptop audio stopped working completely. The speakers and headphones don't work. There is a red X on the speaker symbol. When I open device manager, there are two devices that seem not to have drivers "Intel High Definition Audio" and "Intel High Definition DSP". When I try to update the drivers, it says there are no updates available. HP Support Assistant software is detecting that no updates are needed. I've tried downloading sound drivers for my product from HP. They install just fine but the problem persists. When I go, back to Device Manager, the two devices still don't have drivers.  I've tried to go directly to the Intel website. I did a scan on my system and didn't find any sound drivers missing. Instead Intel detected that Intel UHD Graphics 620 Driver needs an update. I downloaded the update but installation failed because "the computer manufacturer doesn't allow driver update for this device as it may affect the functioning of other devices". or something along those lines.

Please assist because I'm out of ideas on how to fix this issue.

Thanks

Best regards,

Abubakar

Does the  HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bp111dx have a built-in microphone?  I can't seem to locate it and any documentation asks me to look at the diagram that most resembles my computer.  I'm guessing there isn't one but thought I would see if anyone else knows.  Thanks!

HP Envy DV7 3797EL - no audio in windows 8.1 64 bit

Hello, I have an HP Envy DV7 3797EL and I'm sure the audio integrated board if fine because under Win10 works correctly.

The issue happens when I boot by another hard disk on which I have installed win 8.1 - 64 bit, in that case I have no audio card installed (so no sounds output) and on the devices  list under the control panel I have the "High definition Audio Controller" marked with an exclamation mark.

The device vendor and detailed info about the hardware device are these ones:

Il dispositivo PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1E20&SUBSYS_1818103C&REV_04\3&11583659&0&D8 è stato configurato.

Nome driver: hdaudbus.inf
GUID classe: {4D36E97D-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Data driver: 09/19/2012
Versione driver: 6.2.9200.16420
Provider driver: Microsoft
Sezione driver: HDAudio_Device.NT
Classificazione driver: 0xFF2006
ID dispositivo corrispondente: PCI\CC_0403
Driver prioritari:
Aggiornamento dispositivo: false

The error details are:

a driver or device has been disabled. the function could have been already provided by a different driver (code 32)

I've tried to remove and reinstall the audio driver, to rename manually the .inf file, to delete the Winsxs folder, to do a repair by means of SFC and DISM (and now I have no pending issues after the repair) but still the audio card does not work.

I've also tried to remove the driver by pnputil but that driver package is not in the list (pnputil -e)

I've also downloaded the sp59654 package from the HP website according to my laptop model and O.s. and the installer told me that the package doesn't cointains correct information.

Do anyone have some hints on how to solve the issue ?

I don't want to format my hard disk because I should have to reinstall a huge amount of apps.

How can I find a working driver ?

How can be sure of the audio chipset I have on my computer? I google for "VEN_8086&DEV_1E20" and found alternative drivers but they have no digital signature and can't install them.

Is there something to hack in the registry in order to really wipe out the current driver and avoid a restore from the Windows backup repository?

Any advice ? Thanks in advance

HP Envy 15-K280tx audio problems

Hi there

Im having a issue with my Hp ENVY 15-k28tx audio and not seeing any options in windows 10 to select my headphones for the sound manager in control panel.

Windows is reporting that the Realtek HD audio Device is disconnected (Code 45) but the HP Diagnostics UEFI reports that everything is fully operational and I can even test the headphones perfectly in bios.

Currently cannot see options for headphones or HDMI audio and everything comes out the speakers so the volume has to be on either 2 or 4 in windows or it's too loud!

the devices are all hidden and with drivers installed but once I uninstall the drivers it's gone for ever.

Is there a advanced option in the BIOS that can use to enable the sound again as the BIOS it's self is pretty bland and I work in I.T and all the other HP Laptops we have far more options the the consumer one's do.

Hope someone can help me out.

Andrew

HP Envy 360 audio stuck on mute - mute key not physically stuck

Hi there! For the last 2 days, my audio has been stuck on mute. The mute button is not physically stuck, but at any attempt to raise the volume, whether that be with the button or by sliding the icon on the screen, the volume level immediately decreases to be muted. I have uninstalled and reinstalled/updated my audio drivers, I have turned my laptop off and on, then hit F10 to turn on the BIOS setup defaults, and I have looked for any solutions out there to solve my problem. When I troubleshoot for audio issues, it just says that the audio level is low and muted. My computer is up to date on its updates - please let me know if anyone can help!!

Hi, we have several the same model laptops and for some reason "I am guessing" after the last update of Win10 audio drivers started not showing off, pretended like no driver have been installed.

I have tried several ways to solve it like reinstalling the drivers, sweeping the unnecessary driver files but nothing seemed to work anyways.

Audio Drivers for ProBook 4xx G5

I am having difficulties locating SSM compliant Windows 10 onboard audio drivers for an HP Probook 450 G5 via HP Softpaq Download Manager.  It seems that all the Conexant HD Audio Drivers for these and related models have been pulled from the catalog.  I am currently fighting with audio drivers in SP95015  (they seem to only sporadically work in Windows 10 x64) that I had downloaded using the download manager before it was yanked.  Does anyone know what the deal is regarding these drivers?

I tried simply relying on the .inf drivers from the provided Driver Pack while imaging these systems using MDT, but that was even less reliable.

SP95015 Conexant HD Audio Driver 2017/2018 Product version 12.37.102.Q.5 is still available to download from the driver download site but without supporting .cva and .html files so presumably SP95015 is still the HP approved driver for this model.
