I wasn't a big fan of the audio quality on this laptop, so I initially tossed it aside for a while and continued using my older PC computer for the sound quality. That laptop completely stopped working as of late, and I'm now using my current windows 10 64-bit, and it works well. The touch screen is fun to toggle with; I like the ability to manipulate the sound via HP Audio Switch, and I'll play around with audio control to get the sound where I want it; however, I've noticed a major problem.
I was watching a youtube video earlier today, and I've noticed that the sound has gone to absolute crap: there's no bass and the audio is flat and hollow almost. Also, I've tried going into the audio switch - I am able to do that - I can't, however, access the audio control? EVERY other application works flawlessly except I can't go into this app; I'll click on the audio control, and it'll load for a few seconds and nothing happens! I remember this happening a couple times on my old laptop, but the problem seemed to fix itself within a range of 24 hours to 3 days.
I've tried looking for alternative solutions, perusing some similar questions on the HP community, yet I don't feel like any of them are exclusive to my problem, so I'm a little weary on reinstalling and installing different software/audio programs that I'm not familiar with. The realtek high definition audio came with the device...maybe there was an update I don't know about that's messing with the audio control app? I don't know what to do. I've tried restarting the computer a few times, I just don't want to do anything without proper guidance, because I really don't want to mess with anything else because everything does truly work well and is running well EXCEPT for the **bleep** audio control! I can't listen to music because the sound is so poor.
WHY did this happen?
