does this model of laptop come with bluetooth capability?

I have an HP Notebook and recently bought Bluetooth earbuds. Don't see anything in my settings that show any Bluetooth, so was wondering if my laptop even has Bluetooth capability. Also not sure if my laptop is 32 or 64 bit and not sure how to find it.  Thanks for any help the community can give.  If all else fails, may buy a new laptop but I'll make sure it has Bluetooth.  The one I have now was bought for me a few years ago.

I would like to play audio from Spotify on my speakers out of my audio jack and at the same time play audio from  PlayStation Remote Play through my Bluetooth headset as to allow me to listen to music and my friends without my friends voices echoing though my microphone.

Thankyou.

Beats audio drivers for notebook runing Windows 7/10

I have an HP Pavilion dv6-7027 laptop for which I purchased a Crucial MX500 1TB SSD.  I successfully cloned its hard drive using Acronis True Image and installed it in the laptop. Everything seems to be working ok, with one exception... there is no longer any audio. There's now a red X next to the speaker in the system tray.

The system is running Windows 7 and has the Beats audio system.

In the Device Manager on my laptop, there is -NO- "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" entry whatsoever... so, what am I supposed to do?

I guess I'm kinda confused, as I thought that cloning software was supposed to make a bit-for-bit copy of the original hard drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bang & Olufsen speakers not working on Spectre x360 - 15-df0070nr

This laptop is supposed to have a Bang & Olufsen "Quad" speaker setup, but only the two speakers at the bottom front of the laptop work. The speakers that are on the keyboard, closest to the screen do not work at all. No sound emits form them. What is the issue here? This is an $1,800.00 computer and it doesn't even work properly. This thing should be plug & play. Not everyone is a pseudo computer programmer.

No sound after SSD Upgrade -- HP Pavilion g6 -- MODEL #: LM174AV

I did an SSD Upgrade, after which I now don't have any sound at all.  I reinstalled my old hard drive, and the sound returned.  Went back to the SSD and tried a couple of driver downloads that have been mentioned on this forum, but they haven't worked.  One message said: "The Hardware Detected is Not Supported by This IDT Software Package".  Another message said: "This is Not the Correct Audio Droiver for This System".

I went to the HD Driverdownload website, and tried to have them scan my system and tell me which driver I needed, and then install it for me.  That didn't work out either, as it took me to a page where it seemed they wanted me to "activate" my inquiry ???, and it appeared they were trying to sell me some kind of service, but I don't know for sure.  They didn't say whether their service was free or for a fee.  Aaaargh.

This seems like this should be so easy to figure out, but it's maddeningly frustrating.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  -- Thanks!!

No audio coming from the speakers (HP Spectre x360)

The speakers for my HP Spectre x360 laptop aren't working. Using headphones is fine. I've already restarted the computer multiple times. Also, I have already tried using the "Find and fix audio playback problems" but no problems were found. I have  uninstalled and reinstalled the speakers driver (Realtek High Definition Audio) and I have also updated the BIOS and chipset drivers for my laptop but nothing has worked.

Microphone has static when talk

Hi experts,

I have updated my notebook this week and now I have static in my microphones. It doesn't matter if I use the Notebook's microphone or my headset microphone, there is static. It is not a constant static but only when I talk.

Troubleshooting tool can not detect anything wrong.

I have tried to Update the Driver (Realtek) under Device Manager, but it only got stuck at "Searching Online for Drivers..." It's been half an hour and nothing is being updated. Do I continue to let it update? My wifi is fine. This reminds me that lately my Windows Updates has also been stuck at a certain stage and couldn't update. Could this be related?

How can I get rid of the static? I need to use my microphone daily for work.

Thank you in advance.

Audio control not working properly!

I wasn't a big fan of the audio quality on this laptop, so I initially tossed it aside for a while and continued using my older PC computer for the sound quality. That laptop completely stopped working as of late, and I'm now using my current windows 10 64-bit, and it works well. The touch screen is fun to toggle with; I like the ability to manipulate the sound via HP Audio Switch, and I'll play around with audio control to get the sound where I want it; however, I've noticed a major problem.

I was watching a youtube video earlier today, and I've noticed that the sound has gone to absolute crap: there's no bass and the audio is flat and hollow almost. Also, I've tried going into the audio switch - I am able to do that - I can't, however, access the audio control? EVERY other application works flawlessly except I can't go into this app; I'll click on the audio control, and it'll load for a few seconds and nothing happens! I remember this happening a couple times on my old laptop, but the problem seemed to fix itself within a range of 24 hours to 3 days.

I've tried looking for alternative solutions, perusing some similar questions on the HP community, yet I don't feel like any of them are exclusive to my problem, so I'm a little weary on reinstalling and installing different software/audio programs that I'm not familiar with. The realtek high definition audio came with the device...maybe there was an update I don't know about that's messing with the audio control app? I don't know what to do. I've tried restarting the computer a few times, I just don't want to do anything without proper guidance, because I really don't want to mess with anything else because everything does truly work well and is running well EXCEPT for the **bleep** audio control! I can't listen to music because the sound is so poor.

Sound problem

The left part side of my computer is giving a crackling sound while playing audio and automatically stops.  How can I fix this problem please??

No audio from the speakers.

This started about 2 months back when my notebook stopped playing any sound. When I plug in headphones, sound plays, and occasionally when I remove them, there will be a brief moment of when the sound plays, sometimes for up to around 10 minutes. This annoyed me greatly, so I restarted my computer, and nothing happened. Next, I tried re-installing the drivers, while lead to me getting nowhere. Just today, I tried the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics found in the Support Assistant, and it showed that my tests had basically no results, as it had no log detail or reason.  Following this, I began to think that there was a serious issue with my laptop. I then tried the 'Troubleshooting No Sound From The Computer' test, which led it to tell me that there were no speakers or microphone found. Does this mean that my internal devices for my laptop are disconnected? The only damage to my laptop is on the bottom edge of my USB-A port, which has a dent inwards and the aluminium around it is slightly bent in as well. Does the slight damage to the chassis have to do with anything in the system? Please let me know.

Thank you.

Audio Issues

I have the following issues with audio on my Spectre x360:

  1. the B&O audio manager does not allow bass/treble control of headphones when plugged in; bass/treble controls seem to only apply to the internal speakers; as a result, audio through headphones or connected equipment is decidedly mediocre for a high end laptop; even when headphones are unplugged, there is no equalizer, just basic bass/treble control; is this an intentional limitation of the B&O/HP audio manager? Can an alternative audio manager, and standard driver, be used as an alternative? If so, what procedure should be followed?
  2. Also, when I install version 6.0.1.8437 of the Realtek driver, the process Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation consumes over 30% of the CPU; version 6.0.1.8351 does not; uninstalling skype resolves the high CPU load, but this is clearly not a fix; none of my other laptops exhibit this symptom, so for now, I'm sticking to the previous driver version; is there a known procedure to address this?

Need help removing MicTry64 on HP Elitebook 840 G3 which has MicTry64 installed

Bought an Elitebook 840 G3 with Windows 10 (64) v 1903.  Tried but cannot remove MicTray64!  Must do so!

Problem/s

1.  MicTray64 is NOT listed in Apps & Features, nor in Programs & Features

2. When I search (explore) MicTray64 and try to delete it, 1903 indicates it is running and I must close it.  I then turn off everything I can except the window  [have a Spinning Tool capture of that window/box but do not know how to attach it to this question]

3.  I am Administrator and found all the MicTray64 entries in System32 and tried to delete them, but 1903 indicates:

"You need permission to perform this action"

HP SPECTRE AUDIO JACK NOT WORKING!

$

The speakers on the HP Spectre x360 work fine but whenever I plug in my headphones (which work perfectly) into the laptop, the sound continues to play from the laptop speakers. I have tried troubleshooting the sound, restarting the laptop etc nothing is working. The playback tab in the audio device manager doesn't even list an option for headphones. It only lists 'Realtek High Definition' so I can't even select an alternative option for sound. The laptop doesn't even recognise/acknowledge the headphones being inserted into the audio jack.

Everything else in the laptop is working perfectly so I'm really disappointed about this.

Please can someone help?
