Hi i have had this laptop for about 8 months now and when using volume and mute buttons on laptop all that came up was the volume level. Now about a week ago an extra bit has come up beside it with forward, rewind and pause on it. Does anyone know how to get rid of it as it causes problems with my bluetooth speaker and also i don't need it. Here is a picture of it. I just need to get rid of the big black box on the right.

The windows 10 1903 update removed my built in speakers from my list of playback devices. I asked a microsoft agent and they told me I would need a realtek driver for the 1903 build, the only driver currently available is for the 1809 build.

No sound on HP15-ay168sa on win10
Hi
Had this a few times before where the sound has stopped working, managed to fix but not this time. Under device manager sound I have the intel display audio and realtek high definition audio. I have uninstalled both devices with drivers and updated to most recent but still not working. Tried updates through HP support assistant, no good. tried system restore and that didn't work. Did a clean install with Microsoft media creation tool to latest version of win10 and still hasn't fixed the problem. Any help much appreciated

sound attenuation
Hello everyone.
My laptop is weakening sound after starts playing any sound through main speakers. But sound keep coming very low. I tried through Microsoft troubleshooting tool, it just swapping main drivers to default speaker, which has not pure sound.
Speakers don't turn on after headphones broke off into audio jack
My headphones broke off into the audio jack and for now it seems irretrievable. I have bluetooth headphones and a bluetooth speakers which work fine, but I was wondering if I can do anything to make the built-in speakers work regardless.
There's one topic similar to mine which received support, but the solution was not provided on the forum. It provided information for getting support, which I followed. I called the number I was given but my warranty is expired and I do not want to pay for simple assistance when I have alternatives already working.
This is the similar case: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Audio/Something-stuck-in-headphone-jack/m-p/6004136#M82195
Thank you!
Audio driver issues with both RealTek and Windows HIgh Definition Audio Device drivers
It seems like no matter what I do, one issue or another appears with my device's audio drivers.
With preinstalled RealTek drivers, my computer experienced an audio delay issue. It's a common one where there is a 2-3 second period of silence after the computer does not play audio for ~30sec. I ended up changing to the Windows driver in hopes it would eliminate that issue.
With the Windows High Definition Audio Device, the delay was thankfully removed, but something worse took its place. The left audio channel of my headphones crackled and popped with varying strength with any audio being played, especially from sites like YouTube and social media sites.
I ended up going back to RealTek drivers, and now that awful static and popping is gone, but the latency issue is back, with a period of silence before audio resumes.
I have tried the fix with editing the ConservationIdleTime, IdlePowerState, and PerformanceIdleTime values with Registry Editor; any changes I made reverted after I restarted my computer to actually implement them, though.
These issues are not to do with my headphones - it persists across types of headphones and they work normally with other computers. I even replaced them to see if it would help; it didn't.
I can't go back to the HDAD driver with its awful static in the left audio channel, and the audio lag is driving me mad. Is there any way I can either remove static from HDAD, fix the RealTek audio latency with a different method, or stop Registry Edit from reverting its settings when I restart? Or any alternative solutions?
I have run the preinstalled Windows troubleshooter many times as well.
Can’t hear any sound from my computer
I have absolutely no sound. I've uploaded new audio devices several times. I've gone through the HP troubleshooting, updated the BIOS. Ran all the tests. Still nothing. I've watched all the videos on problem solving, read the websites ... still nothing. I've spent days trying to get the sound back as I am taking online classes that require sound. I'm getting really frustrated. This all happened after the Windows update and nothing that has been suggested is working. I have an HP Spectre x360, with the Bang & Olufsen sound. (Yes, I've tried with the Equalizer and still nothing.) I just downloaded the driver from the HP site that was for my notebook and still nothing.

Siund issue
No system sound and when playing video and music files after Window 10 updates were installed.
HP laptop does not play Audible samples orword pronunciations from googled results.
My HP Laptop will not let me hear 2 specific audio sources, regardless of which browser ( Chrome or Firefox) I use. While I can listen to most audio content from Amazon and Audible, it will not play the book 'samples.' I spent half a day on the phone with an audible tech and could not resolve this. Also persistently will not play word pronunciations from some dictionary searches.. but works for others. Annoying to have to move to a different hardware ( cell phone, kindle, or other laptop) when I want to sample an audio book, or quickly learn the pronunciation of a new word. The problem has persisted despite windows 10/ 64 bit updates.
DVD player
Does this computer have a DVD player? If not, can I get it to play DVD's?
BEATS AUDIO GONE!!
For the SECOND time now, after doing a Windows update, BeatsAudio has just disappeared from my laptop. This is so annoying!
How do I get BeatsAudio back?
HP ENVY-X360 Speakers Not Working
Hi - I bought my HP Envy 360 a year and a half ago and my sound stopped working several months ago. I have tried reinstalling the audio drive and updating all the updates but I still have no sound. At first there was a red microphone symbol over the speaker icon but now everything seems fine but I still have no sound. Can someone please help me?
Microphone: system says all is fine, but no app recognizes the mic
Hi,
I recently bought a Pavilion 15 with i7. It has a built in realtek mic.
The microphone does not work with any app. I tried many of them. Suchs as Hangouts, Skype, Audio recorder, Voice recorder. Nothing. Weirdly, when I checked the settings (right click audio, open sound settings) it says all is working fine. The test bar even registers sounds. So the mic MUST be working.
I checked all other settings, right device selected, unmuted, input volume etc.
Checked the HP support assistent.
Checked B&O audio control.
Checked through the device manager.
Updated drivers.
Tried through the systems troubleshooting.
I used Bitdefender for antivirus and firewall, switched everything off....
Basically the system says the microphone works just fine. And it is clear the the system registers sound as the indicators go up or to the right when making noise (see screenshots).
But it isn't.
It does not record or share anything. The simple app Audio Recorder produces nothing. Skype does not recognize any mic. Also the systems speech recognition set up does not register anything.
Am I overlooking something? Thx in advance for any help.
