dv6 7028tx has no sound
recently my sons dv6 7028tx has lost sound. i have tried an number of drivers but finally found sp59654 which has also restored the "beats" sound console (which was missing and it is beats branded), however there is still no sound from the speakers OR via the headphones socket.
Then strange thing is, the sound DOES work if i use the same headphones plugged into a usd adapter.
when looking at the windows "Sounds --> Properties" the scale does move up and down in relation to any sounds.
is anyone able to offer any solutions to this issue please..

Humming sound coming from the audio section.
Everytime whenever I play any type of audio or video file a hummimg sound is also coming from the speaking in a particular time interval so give me any suggestion so that I can overcome the problem.

Cracking/static noise HP envy - 13-ad013na
Hi, my laptop started making a weird static noise on the right hand side yesterday, in the area of the speakers. The computer is almost 1 year old.
I've looked up other posts online but there is contradictory information and I'm not sure which steps to follow. I've also used the Virtual Assistant but it provides me with broken links.
The cracking noise appears and disappears but it's now lasting for quite long and seems more intense if the power cord is plugged. It's usually gone when I turn my speakers off but still seems to come back every now and then. However, it doesn't disappear when I plug earphones (and it's not heard via the earphones).
What should I do? Going on a trip tomorrow and really need the laptop to be working so don't want to do anything that will affect the rest of the functioning of the computer.

F6 Mute button not lighting up or turning on - NOT A KEYBOARD ISSUE - SOLVED!
Windows 10 just came out with a new build update for v1903. This caused the yellow light to stop working.
I contacted HP and they indicated the ONLY way to fix it was to send the laptop in for repair.
Here is the easy way to get the light to work:
1. Go to HP.com and hover your mouse over Support.
2. Go to the Software & Drivers Tab
3. Either sign in to identify your device, or click the icon (laptop, desktop) for the webpage to determine your device information.
4. Click the + sign to the right of Driver - Audio.
5. Look for the second to newest date listed to the right of each audio driver. For me, I downloaded v1809, and not v 1903.
6. Click download and follow the instructions, which will most likely include restarting your device one or more times.
7. When the laptop came back on, the yellow light worked.
8. If the second newest doesn't solve your issue, go to the third newest and continue until the light works.
9. At some point HP or REALTEK will fix the issue and provide an update.

Videos don't play and there is no audio after installing new firmware and drivers
I just installed the firmware and drivers (video, audio, etc.) Now whenever I play videos, they play once or twice, then they lock up and have no sound. I have ran the HP Assistant which runs tests and eventually reloads the audio drivers which still does not work—no sound. I have to reboot my notebook. Then the audio comes back and I can play one or two videos before the process repeats itself.
I have another ASUS notebook which runs on the same Wifi network, same browsers, same operating system, same websites (Amazon Prime). All the videos play perfectly and there is NO sound problem.
Note: everything was working perfectly (over 1 year) until I loaded the new HP firmware and drivers recommended by the HP Assistant.

pc sound problem
MY ENVY HP NOTEBOOK SOUND IS NOT WORKING. SINCE THE WARRANTY PERIOD IS OVER, I WENT TO REPAIR SHOPS AND I FOUND OUT THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE SOUND CARD. ALTHOUGH, WE ALL SEARCH EVERYWHERE TO FIND THE PART BUT WE COULD NOT FIND IT. WE COULD NOT FIND A NEW SOUND CARD ON THE MARKET. I WOULD LIKE IF HP HELPS ME HOW AND WHERE TO FIND SOUND CARD SO THAT I WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTED ONE ON MY PC. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

HP Envy notebook plays music but system sounds are badly distorted

Loss Realtek/HP audio control
New laptop ... initial startup operation WAS (Windows 10 64x ver 1809) good with both Realtek and HP Audio Control.fully operational and with Realtek HD Audio program listed in control panel. Days later the auto upgrade to Win10 64x ver 1903 caused loss of Realtek Audio Manager and hence HP Audio Control ceased functioning. Many attempts to reloaded drivers New and different older (Realtek) drivers have met without success. In fact when installing legacy drivers from Realtek, I have had to do a complete restore to return any audio to this laptop. Does anyone know of the fix or the exact driver version(s) to use that may restore Realtek and then HP Audio Control ? All I have succeeded in doing is delaying use to restore laptop to a restore point prior to messing with.

Windows 10 update 6/24/19 took out sound on my computer. I ran the troubleshooter and restarted.
I have a 2016 HP Envy Notebook . 64 bit Windows 10 Pro operating system. Windows ran an update 6/24/19 at 3 am EST and today I have no sound on my computer. I have Realtek High Definition Audio. I have tried the troubleshooter and restarted 2 X and still nothing. Can anyone help.

My notebook doesn't detect my lavalier external microphone
My Sleekbook HP Pavilion 15-b123es has a combo jack (headphones / microphone). It only uses IDT high definition audio controller (it doesn't accept Realtek audio controller)
It doesn't recognize my lavalier microphone: Shure MVL/A
My question is: Can someone ensure methat if I buy this adapter then the notebook will recognize the external microphone?
