Help me solve my problem
I am using Skype for Business for calls at work. After upgrading from Spectre x360 2017 (aexxx) to 2019 ('gem cut' apxxx) model, people started complaining about a 'background noise' on my end. Also, Skype for Business app often pops up a warning message: "You seem to be too close to the microphone" (or something along these lines) - but I am not.
I looks like the built-in microphone array in 2019 gem cut is very sensitive, and it is picking a lot of background noise. I never experienced this kind of problems on my previous Spectre x360 - though, it had some Bang&Olufsen software installed that offered 'noise cancellation' settings for the microphone array (my new Spectre x360 is generally bloatware-free).
Any one noticed similar behaviour on their Spectre x360 2019 ?

My lap top is a HP X 360 convertible Lap Top. It does play sounds (music) loud enough. It never has. Even at full volume it is not loud enough. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to make it play louder? NOTE. I filed this a few days ago, but somehow it is marked as solved, when it is not. Two of you answered, and I sent you the info you requested , and then it was marked as solved. I need help with this and will appreciate it. Thanks. Damian
Hello !
I have faced a similar problem earlier. I have also followed the steps you provided and solved the issue. However, the problem occurred again. No sounds and websites are not responding. The "Windows Shell Common Dll is not responding" message again. Earlier, I have followed the steps of booting the computer system diagnostics by tapping F2 repeatedly on startup. There was a video that showed step by step and that provided me great guidance. Now, I am not being able to find that video. Could you please give me the link to that video so that i can follow that video can fix the problem again ? I really need that video again. Please help me asap.

I'd like to get more volume from my Realtek speakers. I've heard there is a way to get 50% more volume, but I don't want to mess something up trying to make complex changes. Thanks.
i haven't really used my computer much probably at most 5 times, when i play a video or Netflix video its complete muted. the volume is all the way up in all settings and maybe looking up ideas on Youtube isn't the best answer please reach out to me HELP!
Recently, my headphone jack has stopped working correctly. Whenever I insert headphones, no matter what pair of headphones, sound will only come out of the left headphone. The right is completely silent. Utilizing the windows "configure speaker" tool, I have found that both right and left channel audio is playing through only the left headphone. I have used multiple different pairs of headphones which I tested on a totally different device (my phone) to make sure that it really was the laptop and not the headphones. It is. For some reason, my headphone jack is just not working correctly. I've tried redownloading drivers repeatedly, but it hasn't done anything. I have also tried restoring my entire PC.
Here's a quick run-down and potential FAQ to show you what I've done.
Have you tried testing other headphones to make sure it's really the laptop?
Yes. Multiple pairs.
Is sounding coming out of your speakers just fine?
Yes. My speakers are completely unaffected by whatever is going on with the headphones. All the speakers are of the same volume.
Have you tried unplugging them and plugging them back in again?
Yes.
Have you checked the volume balance in the volume mixer to make sure one headphone isn't accidentally set to silent?
Yes. The volume mixer is completely equal, but only the left headphone plays any sound whatsoever.
Have you tried using the troubleshoot option to reinstall drivers or find other potential fixes?
Yes. It didn't work. Changing the drivers and doing troubleshoot changed the sound quality and volume coming out of the left ear, but it didn't make sound suddenly start coming into the right. I've gone through the entire process: try installing a new driver, try using the general Microsoft Audio driver.
pavilion dv7-6c95dx speakers sounds crakly. I tried updating the sound drive to no avail and the sound is really bad. Do I need to replace the speakers or is there any avenue to fix the sound problem?
Hello,
I get heavy echo on most of my video/audio conferences. It is extremely difficult to work with. Please help!
Thank you!
Hello,
My HP Envy x360 M6 convertible is having sound issues. I work on it all day and have for 3 years or so.
In the last week, the sound has seemingly randomly stopped working. I am also getting this error on YouTube videos: https://www.screencast.com/t/3ROaOwhe
Other videos won't work either: https://www.screencast.com/t/DGcS0kVkvs7
If I restart it works again sometimes. If I reinstall the drivers it works for a while then will stop.
How can this be fixed?
I've had my x360 for a few months now and I've only just started getting an issue where when any audio from any application starts or stops, there is a sort of popping or crackling noise. I've gone through the Support Assistant, tried updating drivers, running Windows Sound Diagnostics and more to no avail.
I'm hoping that you'll be able to help me!
Thank you.
EDIT - 18/06 2318 HRS
Popping/crackling noise is now continuing throughout audio, rather than just at the start and end,
When you turn on the music in the headphones, the sound does not reproduce immediately and after a couple of seconds. I tried to play music with different players, but the result is the same. The music often turns on not immediately, but after a couple of seconds of pause. Please help me fix the problem
HI Team,
This is to inform you that the volume of the sound is getting reduced in 5-10 seconds after starting any new movies or songs in my laptop. There might be the issue of sound system in my laptop. I request to look into the issue as soon as possible. The Laptop is within the warranty period now.

I recently acquired a Probook 450 g2 and installed windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 but it has rejected all recommended drivers from the HP website and all online forums. I am stack and can't use the laptop
I have a Dell intel core i5 windows 7 and need a driver for Toshiba RFBUS ,cant seem to find on internet without paying for a service
I recently started a new job and am befuddled by a laptop audio issue. The Windows 7 HP Folio 9480m's audio works fine except when I dock it. I am using dual DisplayPort monitors and with one disconnected, I can reinstall the current audio driver and audio is properly routed to the Acer monitor anytime the laptop is docked. BUT when I connect the second monitor and dock the laptop, the audio system becomes confused and this is what appears in the Sound Control Panel:
What would normally be my DisplayPort audio is now a disembodied, non-working option. I can even click Properties and do silly things like give it a name:
Since the dock has two DisplayPort jacks, I would think there's a solution, unless there's something weird about the monitors. Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks!
