After I updated my notebook from Windows 8 to 8.1, I realise that the sound produced when playing through the headphone to be very flat and bright. This doesnt happen if a used the built in speaker.
I tried uninstalling the IDT audio driver and this did significantly improve the audio quality when using headphones, but another problem emerged. The sound produced from the built in speaker became very low even at the highest volume.
So I installed back the IDT audio driver and the old problem started again. The only way to fix the sound quality when using headphone is by disabling the IDT audio from sound properties and then enables it back. Apparently that did able to give back the bass and richness into the audio. the only problem is I have to do this process everytime I turned on my notebook.
Is this related to the fact that my audio driver does not support Windows 8.1?
If thats the reason, when will the driver become available?
