I'm posting on behalf of a friend who today received his newly acquired HP ProBook 430 G1 he bought the other day, which came with Windows 10 installed.
He said:
"The headphone jack doesn't appear to be working properly, it acknowledges when you plug or unplug headphones and when the headphones are plugged in the system acknowledges there's sound playing but there's no sound in the headphones, and it's definitely not the headphones themselves cause they work on my phone"
"It worked the first two times I used it then just stopped and I don't know why"
"I did update the drivers for it and restarted the computer but that didn't seem to work"
Does anyone know of a fix for this...? Any help would be much appreciated 🙂
Also, it's my understanding that it might be the case that some of these have Conexant sound chips and others IDT, so I acknowledge that some identification may be required which I can arrange.
