The Intel High Definition Audio driver that came with this laptop was not compatible with Windows 10 v2004 Feature Update recently released via Windows Update. However, the Realtek HD Audio driver still works. The driver downloads page specifically for this laptop is only for version 1903 or 1909
Please alert your driver development team or department of this issue.

I recently bought a Windows 10 HP laptop, 15s-fq1xxx, and have a problem to use a microphone with a vocal unit, BOSS VE-5.
Originally, I had a Windows 7 lap top,and connected the vocal unit to the PC via a jack socket.
It worked perfectly to record vocals.
For some reason, this method does not work on the new computer, Windows 10 HP laptop.
The audio line is recognized as a Stereo Mix, but no sound comes from the microphone.
Internal microphone and speaker are working sufficiently, and I have tried resolving microphone problem (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03421813)
I assume that it may be caused by a driver problem...
Could you please someone help me to solve the issue???

I have recently ran all troubleshooting, from HP Support, Virtual Agent, and HP Diagnostics, as well as HP Audio Check, and followed steps like ensuring drivers are up to date.
My issue seems quite rare, but basically when using internal mic on laptop (2 Realtek RAudio), for recording sounds, or other purposes such as video calls, there is a distortion of sound, like a low vibrating or buzzing sound.
Can anyone indicate what the source of this issue might be? The microphone is now unusable. If i plug in an external microphone, such as a set of headphones with a microphone, the recordings are clear and free of issue.

I am facing a speaker problem with my hp pavilion 15 ec0000nx , I hear a strange and vibrating noise when the frequency of the tune played get high , I think this vibrational / rattling / crackling noise is coming from the right speaker more than the left one and it became more noticeable when raising the volume to more than 60. also I checked another pavilion 15 ec0000nx in the local store and found the same issue there . I checked my audio driver if theres any updates and turned out that its already updated also I tried the hp diagnostic system and windows troubleshouter but nothing solved the problem . I faced this problem from the day one using the laptop.

I can barely hear the left side speaker on my laptop , right speaker is working fine , im using a hp omen 15-dc0082tx laptop,
i checked all the audio settings , the audio balance shows both speakers are at 100 but left speaker is way way way less than the right one. All my drivers are up to date, when i troubleshoot audio it brings up a dialogue box that says to disable audio enhancements , when i click on open audio enhancements i cant see the option , the audio enhancements tab is missing.

The sound on my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 13 has stopped working. I have tried everything. I restarted and force restarted the computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers three times. I have system rebooted to factory settings. Nothing is working. What is going on?

After upgrading Windows to version 1909, B&O Audio Control stopped opening. The program window starts and disappears immediately. Attempts to reinstall through the Windows Store and the full Audio Driver failed. Help solve the problem.

I have an HP laptop and am trying to connect external speakers through the headphone jack. Will this work? Headphones work with this jack. External speakers work through another desktop PC. I cannot find information to indicate whether I can use external speakers with this HP laptop.

My audio and microphone are not working. I have worked with the virtual assistant and have completed everything including using the troubleshoot find and fix suggestion. The device manager suggestion. I have restored my computer to a later date. I have run the BIOS system using the F10 button while turning the computer on.
I have tested my diagnostics using the F2 key and there is sound. My volume buttons are on at 50.
I have restarted my computer between disabling and reinstalling multiple times. Nothing is working. Please help. Thank you.

I'm posting on behalf of a friend who today received his newly acquired HP ProBook 430 G1 he bought the other day, which came with Windows 10 installed.
He said:
"The headphone jack doesn't appear to be working properly, it acknowledges when you plug or unplug headphones and when the headphones are plugged in the system acknowledges there's sound playing but there's no sound in the headphones, and it's definitely not the headphones themselves cause they work on my phone"
"It worked the first two times I used it then just stopped and I don't know why"
"I did update the drivers for it and restarted the computer but that didn't seem to work"
Does anyone know of a fix for this...? Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

People cannot hear me clearly on Zoom or other calls! I have udpated drivers, BIOS and windows and I have talked to HP 3x and virtual agents(which are dreadful). I have only had this computer 8months and it has been failing since 3 months. I paid £1000 and have to use my old Dell still as it is better. Its warranty but HP will not help me. I cannot get a straight answer from HP, they never call back and when I call they cannot solve the issue but take me through lots of steps that never solve it. Is ENVY model a heap of junk!??? the touchpad sign in has not worked since it was one month old! same thing updated all the drivers and works for a couple of days and then goes wrong again. HP told me you have to call them for some updates. My first HP computer and I am totally devastated after spending so much money should have bought DELL! DO NOT BUY HP

Cannot conncect to rpc service
I found a fix first of all make sure you're os and drivers are updated
now go to task manager>startup>Realtek HD audio universal service
and enable it , if it's disabled and restart. That's it!
