I use a HPAB219TX laptop which I bought 2 months back. Whenever I plugin or remove the headphones from the jack I get pop up notifications twice back to back. That notification and sound should come once,but I receive both the notification and sound twice.
Moreover Plugging in and removing the headphones jack is somewhat difficult,it isn't as free as it should be.
I upgraded from windows 7 home basic to 10 home and after upgrading there were 2 problems,
1. AMD Radeon HD 6470m detected as 7400m series but it is still working except for dxva video playing support.
2.SRS premium sound setting not working, none of the equiliser works, sound through headphones feels like mono.

I have had a similar problem with an hp pavilion 15-ab020AX that I bought yesterday. I have had it replaced three times already, each from a different batch of the particular model and the assistants at the shop have no idea what the problem is. The sound starts as soon as I turn the laptop on and persist until the computer has been turned off again. The noise is an inconsistentent scratching noise located around the fans on the right side of the laptop. Has anyone experienced this problem? Please help.

My laptop has a special button on its top right corner, out of the keyboard, to "silence" the speakers.
When this button is pressed and indicates that the speakers are muted, I have this problem :
The videos on youtube and some games, start playing and there is a very loud noise (it is the sound of the video or game) for about 0,5 to 1 second. Sometimes the speakers continue to "produce" sound from the video or game that plays for about 1 second temporarily now and then... What can I do to solve this ?
I have tried with headphones and the sound functions OK.

My new tablet has audio issues right out of the box. There's a message of 'no audio output device is installed' on the sound icon. Running the troubleshooter says it has fixed the problem (hardware changes may not have been detected), but it hasn't.

After successfully having someone solve my first problem with this laptop (involving a faulty fingerprint sensor), I have now decided to address the second, and hopefully final, issue I have been having.
My microphone is not sensitive at all - however it is working and I am pretty sure it is a driver issue too. Let me explain.
The microphone has always been quiet. One of the first things I did when I got this laptop last month was to Skype some friends, and they said I sounded extremely far away. I tried Skype's test call service and when speaking normally could only just hear my voice. I did a little bit of troubleshooting and even with mic sensitivity up to 100% and boost up to 30dB, I was still realistically unhearable.
It got to the point where I tried uninstalling drivers, and I discovered that uninstalling my audio drivers caused the mic to suddenly work perfectly - however reinstalling them caused the fault to reoccur.
I have reinstalled the drivers as I assume the Bang and Olufsen (Realtek) drivers are needed for high quality sound output or whatever - but I was wondering if there was a fix that would allow me to use the microphone with these drivers installed instead of having to uninstall them every time I want to use the mic?
Note: the microphone still works, but is not very sensitive and I can only just be heard even when I'm shouting into my screeen!

I already have installed windows 10, and the Beats audio window does not show, I want to know, what to do to get back the beats audio?
I have a hp x360. This morning, when i attempted to turn it on, the screen is black, the fan goes on for about 2 seconds and the caps lock key flashhes. Then the screen remains black, with the caps lock key flashing. Also, when I have it plugged in, the recharging light sometimes goes white instead of red. Not sure what to do, any help would be great, thanks.
Ok so i have an odd question and not sure if anyone would know this, I noticed this laptop has an 3.5mm audio jack for headphones. What i am curios about is headphone jack also a microphone jack like an all in one?
I am looking to get a gaming headset and i need to know if both audio and mic are in one or if i need to go with a usb headset or usb audio and mic adapter.
I am hoping this makes sense if anyone has info on this i would be greatly appreciated!!

I got this laptop yesterday, and I just found that the headphone jack does not work. The speakers are fine, but when I plug in headphones, although it detects that I have plugged something into the headphone jack, no sound comes through to my headphones. I have tried this with more than one pair of headphones, and nothing works. I also tried going in the control panel and enabling the headphones, but they don't show up.
Well, tite says it all. I have had problems 2with two Skype contacts now, and so I went to do an online test. Some work, others don't. My friends say they can hear me typing on my keyboard but not me. I went to test it out by myself, AND I CAN HEAR ME TYPING, ME TAPPING MY DESK, EVERYTHING BUT MY VOICE.
It broke after those two updates, I used HP Support Assistnant to download and install them. Is there any way I can roll them back?
I just recently purchased this HP computer, which came with the HP Wireless Speaker S6500. The wireless speaker will only connect as the default audio when I restart the computer, and when it is not used for a certain amount of time (about a minute), it disconnects and will not reconnect unless I restart the computer again. When I try to make it the default audio, that is not a highlighted option.
