Hello there, My audio is completly gone.
My gf told me she had deleted a few applications that
she believed were useless.
Im guessing one of them was something to do with the audio.
What can I do to fix this. Please help!

New laptop has audio issue every time I try to play video.
I just got this laptop today, so this is very disconcerting. It is very weird, and I haven't figured out exactly what sets it off, but whenever I go to a new page to watch a video (or anything with audio) the sound doesn't work at all. At first the only thing I could do was turn the computer off and on again, but I eventually figured out that if I go to the "Playback Devices" menu I can disable and re-enable the Speakers/Headphones thing to make the sound work. While this seems to fix the issue, it only works for that video, as soon as I go to the next one it happens again.
Another strange thing is that whenever I reset the Speakers/Headphones (like I meantioned above), whatever screen I'm on has and issue and I have to reload it. It doesn't matter if it is youtube, netflix, or whatever. As soon as I disable the Speakers/Headphones the page I'm on has an error and I have to reload.
Thank you for any help you can provide. I just got this computer and like everything about it. I would really prefer to not have to send it back.

HP Pavilion DV6 Sound no more works after Windows 10 upgrade from Windows 7
After upgrade from Windows 7, no sound, even with icons on screen bottom left and on keyboard showing sound ON.
ATI High Definition Audio Device driver was running OK.
IDT High definition Audio CODEC driver was NOT running and and unable to do so.
I ran Windows Update which installed a new version of drivers and IDT High definition Audio CODEC driver is now running OK, but still no sound even with icons showing it is ON.
The HP Utility HPSupportSolutionsFramework which is supposed to bring some help cannot be downloaded: 10 seconds after download starts, it stops ith error notification (and no explanation).
Any help welcomed.

Problem with recording device
When I tried to make a call/video call using Skype, I cannot get the connection. There is ringing but then an Error message "Problem with recording device." appears.
This problem surfaced after I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. Before there was no problem using skype.
I have already upgraded to the latest version of Skype.

No sound while watching dvds on PowerDVD
Hi!
So I just bought a new dvd which I wanna watch while traviling. Bu when I tried to play it, there was no sound. I'm trying to listen with headphones, so I don't disturb anybody.
But why is there no sound??? I've checked everything I could think of... And is there another video player I can watch it through?

Problem: I was watching a movie a night before and it's still worrking. Tomorrow evening when I played a video, I found out the sound did not work, so I tried restarting and still no hope, i tried disabling, enabling and uninstalling the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC and now I'm using High Definition Audio Device and still no hope, windows says that this device is working properly, but oviously its not I really need help, and now i'm using only. I dont know anything advanced about technology yet, so im helpless.

I get an error message "Problem with recording device" when I tried to make a call/video call .
Same message even when I called the Echo Sound Test Service.
This problem surfaced after I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1.

755 G2 sound feedback when using docking station
We have an issue with our 755 G2's and the ultraslim docking stations (D9Y32AA). Whenever we connect speakers to either the laptop port or the docking station we get lots of feedback. We've tried different docks wth different G2's and the problem always persists, and yes we have tried with different spearers as well (3 differnt pairs from 3 different manufaturers).
Anyone else have this issue and is there a fix? All drivers/firmware are up to date and we've run out of ideas on what to try next,

15-p248ne beats audio
Hi,
I need help with beats audio as they sound really bad and I hear very annoying static when the volume is high, I've tried changing the stuff in beats Listening Experience but I can't get it right, and when I'm using headphones, it sounds like the volume is going up and down. I'm sure the problem isnt with my headphones because they were alright with the previous driver and they're fine on my phone.

zbook sound issues
Various sound issues with my laptop. First the basic specs--

Audio Issue #1 - HDMI through DisplayPort No Audio
I have a Belkin DisplayPort splitter that sends signal to 2x HDMI. The image comes through but no audio. I can see HDMI in the audio devices but it's "not connected". Why isn't it connected? The Belkin device works fine with other laptops. Could use some advice. Windows says all my drivers are up to date - but I'm willing to recheck everything.
Audio Issue #2 - Bluetooth Speaker No Audio
I have a Mackie Freeplay portable PA speaker that pairs and connects great with every device except my Zbook. The blutooth finds the device and pairs it - but calls it a bluetooth headpiece (mono) instead of a stereo headset / speaker. The device appears under my audio devices but is ghosted out and "not connected". During the installation process - it says this...

Volume Buttons not working
I have just reformatted my computer recently and cannot get the volume + and - buttons (F9 and F10) to work.
The mute button works along with other Quick Launch gestures and keys. Even the on/off button for the keyboard light is working.
ONLY the volume functions at F9 and F10 are not working.
I have tried installing the IDT Audio Drive using the HP support assistant for my product.
What else can I do?

Bluetooth choppy and unacceptable
I have a bluetooth speaker, the Harmon Kardon Onyx Studio, and it sounds amazing
except when I try using it with my chromebook. I know it's compatitble, but when I load a youtube video, or even play something locally, the audio is terrible, really really badly choppy and even sometimes the mouse and entire computer lags while it waits for the **bleep** bluetooth to get its **bleep** straight.
Dont respond if you're just going to give me that page that says "How to connect bluetooth devices" cause that's as useless as a gun free zone sign.
I searched already, but found no other similar post here. I find it hard to believe, cause this **bleep** is persistant. I know it will happen every single time I try to listen to music.
Any help? and please not the copy and paste bs you guys love to provide since you obviously care so much.

Skype is not working after installing window 10 in my Laptop

My recording devices has only external microphone and stereo mix.
There is no internal mic.
Controller is using Realtek High Definition Audio with external microphone and stereo mix.
Should I download the IDT High Defintion Audio to get the internal mic.

Couldn't connect my Bluetooth speaker
My bluetooth speaker coudn't connect to the notebook. I can pair it successfully, but when I turn it on it says connected for just few seconds then disconnect. Trying to connect it again using the Windows 10 Connect tile shows the error message "Couldn't connect"
My bluetooth drivers are OK. I can connect my phone and my bluetooth mouse to the notebook successfully.
My speaker is OK. i can connect it to both my Windows Phone and Anroid Phone. Also, it connected perfectly with 2 other notebooks, and both are HP.
I've tried the original Microsoft bluetooth drivers and no luck. I've downloaded and installed HP bluetooth driver from the notebook support page and no also no luck.
What else should I try?

Hi everyone
Before I start I have to point out that when I bought my laptop I was on Windows 8 (64-bit) since then I have updated to Microsoft 8.1 ( I don't know if this is important but I thought i would mention it?)
I'm interested in buying headphones so my grandchildren can watch tv while leaving me to watch any films I want to see on laptop.
I've looked at Bluetooth - not sure what the difference is between this and any other headphone but if it is beneficial for my purposes how do I install it?
And forgive me for my ignorance but do i have to by a Jack and where do I plug the headphones into my laptop.

sound driver of my hp envy touchsmart 15 J007TX note book is outdated after windows 10 update installs. Note: I try to uninstall and reinstall sound card driver but my mike is not still working.
