I have tried all the recommended suggestions and "fixits" from Microsoft/Windows & HP and still have no audio sound.
All devices appear OK, no indication of malfunctioning or incorrect set up devices!
ALL software up to date.
Have tried some diagnostic software tests to no avail.
I just hear "clicks" when PC boots up, the orange audio indicator light functions. Tried earphones no sound.
Do not hear the default startup sounds.
Could the problem lie with the motherboard chip?
Has anybody any suggestions?
