Hello,
My volume and brightness visuals were not appearing so I did all of this:
"Install Audio Driver
Go to the top of the HP forum page to Support and Drivers
- Enter your Computer Model information, and then go to Software and Drivers...
- Enter your Operating System in the Drop-down menu... Scroll down
- Look for category Driver - Audio
- Select the appropriate IDT High Definition (HD) Audio Driver – wording may vary
- Save the appropriate *.exe installation package on your computer
NOTE the name and the location - the *.exe file will likely save to "Downloads “
Open
- Control Panel> icon view > Device Manager> Sound, video and game controllers>
- RIGHT-CLICK IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (wording may vary slightly)
- Select UninstallAND select to Remove the driver
- Reboot / Restart the computer completely.
- Go to your Downloads folder (where your new Driver is located)
- Install the IDT Software / Driver installation package: If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package(s) and “double-click” to install, else Right-Click, Select ‘run as Administrator’ and install."
The screen brightness visual works perfectly well now. The sound visual works too, but the visual is not the original Beats visual that would appear (The red Beats logo does not appear, rather a basic grey volume visual appears). It is not a really big issue, but I would prefer to have the original Beats logo back.
Thank you.
