I have and HP Pavilion DV7-6169nr i have upgraded it to windows 8 and the sound was working fine, but now for some reason i get no sound at all and when i go into the sound setting by right clicking the speaker icon it shows that Speakers and Headphones IDT High Definition audio Codec and the Communication Headphones CODEC are working properly and Speakers is Set as default Device. I have tried many different methods on the forum from downloading >installing/reinstalling the original driver, uninstalling all audio drivers and installing the original after doing the hard reset, enter bios F9 default settings then reinstalling the drivers, and still NOTHING works im frustrated beyond belief and wish i could go back to windows 7. can anyone help me, give a link to a driver that will work anything???????
