CPU Throttling

Thanks for the opportunity!

Puchased a new Probook  450 laptop -Windows 7 and am trying to use an interface for real time audio recording. All proper drivers form the interface manu (  Focusrite Scarlet 2i4) downloaded. I actually recorded something. Left the sytem for a couple of weeks and when I came back the computer would no longer recognize the interface. Latency tests with the interface ...manufactture ran a they are telling me there is a CPU throttling issue that can be set in the BIOS or Intel speed set.Any direction or suggestions are greatly appreciated. I thought of the restore feature in case I did smothing wrong unplugging the components but I cant go back far enough to when it was working. If the interface manu is blowing smoke then I will return it whike under warranty. But if the same issue would occur with a different interface it would be nice to know how to set it.

Thanks-my HP is great and am loving it!
