I think I have a problem with my beats audio. The checkmark does indeed work. And the 4 Band vertical processor seemed to work ok. But no matter what I did, I couldn't make any audible change with the larger eq on the right. I could move it, select the few different presets, and save custom......but it never makes any difference in the sound whatsoever. I wonder if I am missing something simple. ALSO, the volume level of the output seems to fluctuate....as if there is a built in limiter filtering my sound, which is completely unacceptable. I hope I can get some help, because I bought this to use on stage with live music production and dj mixing. That's what I do. But, if I cannot manipulate the raw sound with a true equalizer...I'll be stuck with sub-par sound. Then I'll have to give the laptop back to the store I purchased it from, and exchange it for another brand. Please help.
P.S. I have already spent 5 years repairing my last hp laptop(5 times for the same problem), and then ended up receiving this current refurbished one in exchange according to Fry's Electronics' extended warranty. I have not been happy with HP thus far. Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I hope so. I love this product,......if it works :-/
