music app error code :- 0xc00d11cd (0x8000ffff) cant play music

Hi,

• Product Name            :-HP  Pavilion g6-2202tx Notebook PC
• Operating System      :- windows 8 pre-installed

I cant play music on my laptop with my music app or window media player 

it says cant play music and gives this error code  on my music app :- 0xc00d11cd (0x8000ffff)

and

if i try playing videos on youtube the video dose'nt open and on other sites its just mute with no sound ...
