Hi, I recently got a new hp pavilion laptop, I previously had a hp pavilion that worked perfectly but I decided to get a newer version as the other one had worn over a period of 2+ years. There is a problem when using headphones though, a static sound can be heard about 70% of the time that the laptop is in use. And having the laptop charged in and/or using a mouse might contribute to the noise (I'm not sure). I've tried two different working mice, with the use of one of them, a constant static noise can be heard and seems to play in rhythm to the movement of the mouse. And with the other one it's not as horrendous but is still audible. Also most of the time, when I simply press the touchpad (even with no mouse or power cord attached) a buzzing sort of ringing noise can be heard and doesn't stop until I take my finger off the touchpad. Other than that, the noises seem pretty random and can be louder or quiter at different times. Atm the noise has stopped, but it'll certainly come back soon.
I've tried two other 100% working headphones and they still have the problem so it's more to do with the laptop as opposed to the headphones. I must also mention that it seems to be 2 or 3 different static noises. There is sort of a buzzing affiliated with pressing the touchpad, a more scraping static noise when I scroll down on a page and a mild static noise that seems to play most of the time. The noise has been apparent without the use of a mouse and a power cord so that's why I said I'm not sure if it's anything to do with the two. I'd really appreciate any help
Thanks
