I purchased a Kinivo BTH 240 wireless bluetooth headset
Works great on my Apple IPad 3
It does not work on my laptop
I have a HP Pavilion DV7 - 2117 cl part # NV027UA 2009 running WIN 7
I followed all instructions in the users manual
Kinivo BTH240 head phone appears as default and the bar graph shows a
response
but no sound
I went to device manager shows bluetooth stereo device working
says Broadcom V6.0.1.6202 5/12/2005
I went to Broadcom web site and downloaded
setupbtwdownloasSe.exe Ver 6.5.1.2700
clicked run says 'must uninstall old software'
there is no uninstall program. I was directed to Widcomm web site to use
their program
but it has a virus in it and it deletes all files on the hard drive
according to 'answers.microsoft.com'
I unstalled the drivers from the device manager but it still does not install
Kinivo says to get HP to unstall then install
Why can't I just delete the directory " program/widcomm" and
remove the entry in registry with regedit ?
then install
If I go thru all this will the headphones work?
there only 4 files i need btwaudio.sys, btwadt.sys, dmk.sys and
ksthunk.sys
