I recently purchased a Plantronics Voyager Legend BlueTooth headset to use with my PC and mobile phone. When connected to the PC and using Skype or Lync, the headset automatically switches to Mute after about 1 minute. If I switch the mute on the headset back to unmute, the headset will automatically swith back to mute.
I returned my original headset (Plantronics Voyager HD) which had the same problem (with another problem hence the return) but this new headset has the same problem. Therefore I am thinking it is the pc Bluetooth configuration. BTW: the headset works great with the phone - no issues.
Plantronics Support also thought that it was a PC issue.
My PC is an HP Envy Notebook.
What settings are there with Windows 8 to control sending a switch to mute signal from the PC to the bluetooth headset? Has anyone else experienced this?
