Windows 10 Auto downloaded Conexant HD Audio drives still sound not working, I was trying to uninstall Conexant HD Audio drives as standard Microsoft sound driver works, but this driver auto installs again after some time.
this drivers driving me crazy. I'm about to smash this HP laptop.
I have the dreaded no audio output device is installed with the red x on the sound icon. I have tried installing the driver (which there is just one conexant i2s) after uninstalling it, i have reinstalled windows 10 ive tried the services too all to no avail. Hoping someone has another fix. I have noticed the bang and oulfsen logo under the speaker so not sure if the issue lies with that side of it, hopefully someone can help
When I try to record my guitar through my interface (Tascam US16x08) I get signal in the program (ProTools), but every
now and then it clips/gets a system overload (only in the program), leaving the recorded track useless, due to the clipping
in the signal itself. For a long time I thought it was my interface, but I think it's my computer (which I bought on my audio engineering teacher's recommendation). It's the strongest computer I've ever had and I'm really pissed it doesn't work as it's supposed to.

I saw someone having the same problem, who fixed it with flipping a small switch in the SATA thing in the computer itself. Could that be it? I can upload a video to youtube soon and link it, so you can see what's happening. Only in the program's system-meter/viewer it shows an overload. It's basically yoyo-ing between 5% and 100% with all the other cores being well below 6%
With mixing it's not a problem at all, can easily mix 30 different audio tracks and some midi as well, but recording 1 single guitar is a problem...

When I bought this laptop i could play music through my headphones, while playing movies from the speaker when I turned on the multistream feature on the B&O app it came with. It doesn't work anymore. Can you please give me advice on this?
I have googled and checked everyehere and it seems I'm not the only one, plus I would like advice specific to the B&O app this laptop came with especially. This feature was exremely useful and its a shame that it doesnt work at the moment.
Please do not say its impossible like in previous threads i've seen because I used to do it all the time

A bit of background:
This is not the first time I have had this problem. I first had this problem back in January where the volume control Hot Keys on my laptop do not work unless I simultaneously pressed them along with the Widows Key. What's even more interesting is that even the dedicated volume rocker on the side of my laptop does not work unless I, again, use the rocker while pressing the Window's key. I returned my laptop to my local Best Buy and exchanged it for the one I have now which is of the same model. The laptop was functioning normally until two days ago I again started to have this problem. I noticed both times that the issue occured shortly after I connected an external wireless mouse to my laptop, however I had connected the same mouse to the laptop other times before the problem occured. Here is what I have done in attempts to resolve the problem:
- Update the kyeboard drivers
- Run a keyboard test which passed
- Deactive and reactivate the Hot Keys via the BIOS set up
- Performing a System restore to a date before the issue occured.
The other Hot Keys, such as the brightness control, do work normally and do not require me to simultaneously press the Windows key for them to work. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!
The first few days that I had the laptop there were no crackling issues. When the crackling started, it stopped the next time I used the laptop. It started again and I read that turning the HP Cool Sense off would stop the crackling, which it did for a few uses, but now the Cool Sense is off and the crackling occurs every time a video or sound plays. I have restarted the computer, and am going to try restarting it again, but I am not sure what else to do. I have only had the laptop for about 6 weeks and don't even use it every day.
Audio enhancements automatically disable when I plug in headphones. The EQ still works. Just not the Enhancement controls. When I unplug the headphones all enhancements are available. I have tried all the various drivers compatible with machine. I've rebooted to factory settings, using the Recovery Manager and factory image. I don't believe this is the default behavior. We've had several HP's with various iterations of this driver software and they allow you to use all the enhancements with or without headphones. If someone could confirm what the defualt behavior is on a similar machine or provide instructions to fix that would be great. I'm a bit opposite everyone else in that I find the unenhanced audio much less appealing.
After installing windows 10 amd radeon graphic card is not functioning..and it not behaving primary graphic card. Please help me to figure out this issue
I have recently imaged this laptop but try as I might I cannot get the soundcard to work. There is no entry in Device Manager and I have attempted to install the drivers again for the sound only but no success. When I click on the speaker in System Tray I get an error "no hardware found"
I have done a hardware scan in Device Manager too but again no hardware for sound is present.
Any ideas?
Hoping someone has solved this, but if they did, I'm not finding it.
I have an 850 G4 with Win10-64. When docked to the Ultraslim docking station, the audio quality is horrendous. I can unplug the speaker cable, plug it in the headphone port of the laptop... audio restored to normal.
I have another 850... G1 running Win 7... works perfect in the same docking station.
Hopefully smeone has the answer?

For a while now the volume level on my laptop will always fade out to an incredibly low level. Once I have paused and restarted whatever the volume is coming from (Ie. a youtube video), the volume will return to a normal level before fading out again after about 15 seconds. This is with everything including the built in speakers and when I have plugged external devices in such as headphones. Hoping someone has a solution for this, thanks.

I have an HP 15-ay112ne laptop and I'm running windows 10 Enterprise / version 1709 / os build 16299.309
the sound on the laptop used to be great when I had a software called "DTS studio sound " but suddenly it disappeared and a Realtek software showed in its place and I started having all sort of problems; the sound became soooo low; sound started coming out of the speakers and the headphones.
I tried everything from updating the driver to reinstalling it "nothing worked".

Hello! My HP 2000 was bought refurbished in 2013 and is running standard Windows 10 64-bit OS. I can usually fix any problem on a PC, besides this. I am befuddled and at a loss of what to do. I record audio from a USB condensor microphone (Shure MV5). I recently opened the devices and printers tab in Control Panel and set up my microphone to where I can hear playback and automation, to see if it was a recording issue or a playback issue. I have noticed when I record on the Notebook microphone itself, it seems to have no problems. No drivers exist on said microphone, which could be the cause, I'm not ruling it out. Whenever I record audio or speak into the microphone while being able to hear myself through the PC speakers or headphones, there is a nasty buzzing noise with each word I speak, sounds akin to nails on a chalkboard. Hard to describe. But my voice becomes choppy, lower pitched, and has this sort of delay in speaking. Also kind of screams as if, not kidding, I'm making techno music. Like a glitchy noise. Now, my microphone works perfectly on a standard Windows XP 64-bit OS no problem, but it's also a Dell with Intel Core Duo as the processor, as I have E2 Vision AMD as a processor for the Hewlett-Packard. I have tried to update the drivers, only one driver updated, still no issue resolved. Whenever I try to troubleshoot my microphone in device manager, the error "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem" appears onscreen. I believe it is the PC itself, not the microphone. I have contacted Shure, and I am almost positive it has nothing to do with my microphone. At a total loss here, almost feeling defeated. Even tried cmd prompt to force driver installment, and no drivers are available. I'm pretty tech-savvy, so you can understand my frustration and disappointment. Thank you in advance.
