Okay so.

Since I got my laptop in December, skype hasn't worked on it. When I say it doesn't work, I mean it loads up fine, responds quickly, I can send messages fine, but the moment I call somebody, the audio of not only the skype call but also every other program on my computer becomes slow, robotic and unintelligable. Along with this, my skype partner can't hear my voice unless they turn their audio to 100%. 

You'd think this is a skype problem as when I call on google hangouts or something similar, I don't have this issue. I contacted skype support but that was about as useful as talking to a brick wall with a representative badge. 

Someone even suggested it was my skype account that was causing this, but it works perfectly on my mobile, on other laptops and on my desktop. (I know you'll say just use skype on those! but I don't have the patience to sit beside a power outlet all day as skype drains mobile charge in 0.2 seconds, and my desktop headphone input is broken.)

Pleeeeease somebody help as it's incredibly frustrating being unable to use skype on my laptop!

I'm looking for a audio driver that workds with Windows 10 for my Elitebook 840 G1. I don't wish to use the standard installed microsoft driver. Why isn't there a driver for win10 on the official support page?

I no longer see bluetooth under my devices. What do I do to locate it again?

bluetooth headphones still skipping whilst watching youtube but the headphones dont skip if using mobile phone on the same wifi connection    also i am not very computer savvy    sorry

Hello,

 

I have an older (2010 or 2011) Envy 14-2050se Beats Edition HP laptop.

 

I want to connect it to my TV using a mini displayport to HDMI adapter. The adapter does carry sound to HDMI on my Surface Pro 2 but not on the HP laptop. If I connect the laptop directly to the TV via HDMI audio works fine and I can see the TV under playback devices.

 

I read in another thread that not all mini displayports support audio and only those with a logo with two pluses behind it do. My laptop has that logo next to the port (dual mode) but it still does not work.

 

Under playback devices there is my TV and Digital Audio (HDMI), however both are disconnected. If i plug in the HDMI cable directly the TV shows as connected and Digital Audio (HDMI) stays disconnected.

 

I have installed the latest drivers via Windows Update and I have not experienced other problems.

 

Any help would be very appreciated.

My laptop originally had Windows 8.1. I upgraded to windows 10 and the audio was working perfectly for a while until it started stuttering and also playing sound on both speakers and headphones at the same time. Even my audio levels keep fluctuating. I've tried every possible solution online but I can't seem to get it to work properly. I even resolved to installing my OS afresh, I deleted everything but still the same problem exists. Now my "High Definition Audio Device" is showing a yellow exclamation mark, it didn't show that before. Please help, I'm frustrated now.

Hi!!

I just installed Windows7 on my Compaq Presaio V6409TU notebook and found that the sound output is not there through inbuilt speakers.

I checked device manager and updated Conexant HD Audio driver online, but still no sound.

I tried contacting HP support, however, it says my product is out of warranty, so no help either. Quite frustating.

 

Below is the details of my notebook :

 

Model : Presaio V6409TU.

OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit Service Pack 1

Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU         T5300  @ 1.73GHz

System board : 30BB 66.42

BIOS : Phoenix F.2C     

 

Video : Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family 1280 x 800

 

Audio : Conexant High Definition Audio

Current driver : CHDRT32.sys

version : 4.33.1.60

 

 

This is quite frustating as I'm using this notebook for 9 years and there never had been such issue earlier.

Solution for the same is highly appreciated.

Hi

My Bang & Olufsen Sound manager software is not workin. You can see icon on task bar, but when I click on it nothing show up, so I can't change my sounds settings. Can I uninstall that software and download and instal new version? 

Please let me know.

I'm new to the Forum/Page. How do I make replys to an existing post; like for the link below; I can only seem to make new posts....

 

When I go to plug my headphones in I get sound from the headphones and the speakers. I tried to set headphones as default device and all the "fixes" you guys have listed and sstill cant figure it out. I'm not very computer tech smart, but I try to make an attempt at fixing it, researching the "fix" and no luck....its just annoying. I want my headphones to be the default device or primary use for sound. 

 

I read through all of this most of it doesnt make sense but at least I try to make some sense from it.

 

Is there a real fix for this issue now that we are in the year 2016? or is there still no fix for it?

Yesterday I had my volume control.  Today it is gone. I didn't do anything, no updates, no cleaners or anything.

Hi,

I am deeply annoyed by an issue that has plagued this goddamn laptop since I bought it.

My audio works normally for a few days, and then suddenly it stops working after a few days.

I have the Bang and Olufsen speakers.

 

I have reinstalled the drivers from the Realtek website a few times but this goddamn problem comes back,

and drives me nuts.

 

I can't tell you how much I hate this laptop, it came with this horrible windows 10 OS, and I can't tell

you how much I hate both windows 10 and this goddamn laptop which is plagued by so many issues,

that I only bought it because I had no better options.

 

The red X on the speaker volume means the goddamn thing has stopped working again and

says no audio driver is installed.

HP and windows suck.

I have just got this laptop and I have no sound. I think it is windows 10 that came with it - I have tried updating the driver, but still no sound  I have a Product number4Y24PA#ABG.

HI There

 

I have an issue on IDT Audio Driver. I had to format the PC but after recovery PC does not have no sound.

 

I have gone through this post where I was able to download the driver again but its giving an unknown error message at the final stage of the download.

 

I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver but its still come back with same error message.

 

Please help as its a great PC but my work is disrupted becuase of this issue.

I recently bought the HP Pavilion 15ab570TX, I've had it for only a few days before this problem arised. I was watching a series on the laptop when suddenly the sound went away, and a buzzing sound from the laptop (could be fan or from audio itself) replaced it. Now, whenever I turn on the laptop, a loud buzzing sound appears. I went on youtube to check the audio status but I couldn't hear anything eventhough the speakers icon says the speakers are okay and the sound is well above 66. What is the problem? I don't understand how it can be dust issues because I've kept the laptop clean and covered most of the time. It's been approximately three days since I received the laptop.
