So, my audio suddenly stopped working one day. It took a while for me to notice because it only works when I have my speakers plugged in (you plug it in with a USB cable). Even my headphones won't work! I'm not quite sure what's happened, can anyone help me, please?

the sound quality was awsm bfr that,on max 15 to 30 it was nice to listen but nw nt evn on 100. please help me out.

No sound from speakers, only subwoofer after restore to factory
I recently restored an HP pavilion dv7 back to factory settings using the built in hp restore. When it came back, sound will only play through the subwoofer. When I do sound tests, I hear both channels play, but they play through the one "triple bass reflex subwoofer" on the bottom of the laptop. Nothing coming from the two speakers in the front at all.
I have uninstalled the IDT drivers multiple times using the current drivers, the original drivers in the swsetup folder and many drivers in between from HP's ftp site. No luck. I'm pretty much out of ideas. It's clearly a software or driver issue as they worked before the reset but I have no idea what else can be done about it.
HP tone control is installed, the beats audio panel is visible, IDT audio shows up in appwiz. Ive seen a few forum posts about this same issue but nothing that ever seemed to get resolved.
Any ideas? I've included some screen shots of what I'm seeing

Hp stream 13 buzzing sound when playing music and watching videos/movies.
I recently bought my HP Stream 13 and everything was fine. Suddenly, whenever I watch or listen to music online and offline, I get this buzzing sound from my speaker. Even through my headphones and when I connect to a TV Monitor through HDMI. It's really gettting annoying. Please help.

cannot play online shows
When I turn on Netflix or Facebook from the windows 8 home page, I get a green screen but I can hear just fine. Why does this happen and how can i fix this?

Bluetooth headset sound quality not good (need stereo or a2dp?)
Hi
I am able to pair my Jabra Move bluetooth headset, but the sound quality is terrible. (not even stereo)
When I use a jack to connect my Jabra Move to the HP probook 430 G2, it is fine.
When I connect my bluetooth headset to my phone with bluetooth, sound quality is fine.
I uninstalled and installed it from the system devices in windows.
I already tried some different bluetooth stacks, but I didn't find the solution yet.
Most of the time the differnet software bluetooth driver/software says no bluetooth device is connected (so no bluetooth hardware is found, although it is as it is built in the laptop of course) and stops installing.

Sound coming out from speakers when earphones are plugged in

Yesterday i tried to watch movies using my earphones however the volume of the sound just decreased slightly and still played out as if there arent earphones plugged in. Please help !

Beats audio is pure garbage and ruined this envy laptop
I just wanted to let you guys know (and I am sure you do by now, judging by the first page of posts on this forum) that you have effectively ruined a great laptop by including this beats audio BS
I have never seen a more blatant attempt at deceiving the user than what this does. When you turn all the beats stuff off it turns the bass ALL the way down and the treble ALL the way up unless you go in to the settings every single time you turn on the computer and adjust them yourself. This is the only way they could trick people into thinking it actually does something beneficial, when you turn beats audio on it restores these settings to 0 so that the user thinks "wow this sounds so much better!!" Yeah obviously if you switch settings from terrible ones back to default it will sound better... This is PURE DECEPTION OF THE USER
Who approved this? I sincerely hope somebody lost a job over this but I know they probably got promoted instead because they tricked so many users to buy into the "beats audio is so amazing!!!@!" phenomenon
There is also no way to completely turn off the beats audio effects even though I have them turned off in the beats control panel. My audio is constantly run through some sort of compressor that makes music volume fluctuate in very un-pleasing ways
After jumping through a lot of hoops I managed to uninstall the IDT driver and install a generic one. Now it actually sounds normal but the laptop speakers are now 1/3 as loud as before and I am going to have to download some 3rd party application to boost my overall volume
Why make people do this? I used to always tell people to go PC instead of apple but all the little things like this truly make PCs a very un-user friendly experience. No average un-tech savvy person would ever be able to recognize these issues and solve them. It is not worth the headache and trouble I have to go through JUST to make audio playback out of this thing as it should normally sound.
This isnt even a question, I just wanted to let you know that I am extremely dis-satisfied with my purchase of this laptop that I intended on using for music production purposes and my next laptop will certainly not be an HP

Microphone Jack problem
please my HP Pavilion 15-n077so ... will not accept and detect the microphone, i am sure that the mic is working i tried it with to another laptops HP also, and i uppdated the Realtek audio driver.... but no sound in via mic jack 3.5 mm ??????
is it construction fault ?? or what ?

HP spectre x360 on linux
Hi, I bought a new HP spectre x360,
For my job I need to run simulation trought OpenFOAM, so it's easyer for me to use Linux. Nearly everything work out of the box, except one things... sound. I post a bug on launchpad, here the link:
It as nearly everything you need to debug the phenomena. I know that you don't officially suport linux on that computer, but it would be fun to be at least linux compatible.
Thing I know:
There was a bug that really look like this one on the Dell XPS 13. The bug was in the bios, wich was setting the sound card to alternative mode that was not working. I think is the same here. I need to find a way to tell the bios to load everything like if it is windows 8.1 (Yeah, I just ask no special treatement!)

Sound swings/flactuates (from normal to very low) in my HP Pavilion 14-V020tx

I bought my HP Pavilion 14-V020tx 5 months ago. Its a outstandingly awesome laptop. Powerful enough for high performance gameing to everything just as I need. As a bonus I saw that "Beats Audio" and thought this must be nice when I bought it but its the one and only thing that I think ruined it .. sort of.
When I play audio/video anything with sound, it FREQUENTLY swings the sound level. Suddenly it goes very low and stays like that for a moment or two and it keeps doing it NON-STOP. This is utterly irritating. I tried reinstalling/updating the driver but it seems to be not solving the issue.
I tried the default windows audio by disabling the beats audio completely and it solves the problem but its not good as beats audio apart from the sound swing/flactuating/unstable-leveling of beats audio. Disabling the beats audio is not an option for me as I need equalizers.
I really really need a good solution for a stable sound/volume level in my laptop. I'm running Windows 8.1 Enterprise and updates the OS and other softwares regularly.

HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC doesn't detect Steelseries Siberia v3 Mic
My old usb headset broke so I bought a steelseries siberia (pardon me for having lame computer knowledge) and the mic didn't work.
There's 3 jacks, 1 microphone jack and 2 headphones jacks. http://i.imgur.com/4c5tI07.jpg
My mic won't appear as an audio device and isn't usable/heard even when I flip the switch off and on. When I put it in the microphone jack, it still doesn't detect the microphone and the sound just goes to the speakers instead of the headset. I also tried disabling the internal mic and everything, but no luck. It is new and works fine, it's just that I can't use my mic, any help is appreciated!

Beats audio uninstalled accidentally.
My audio driver got accidentally uninstalled. since then there is no beats audio software in my laptop.
the sound quality has become low . i tried to find out the software from Support & Drivers ,but all in vain.
i tried to install IDT HD audio software from a link over here. But it failed because it did not match the configuration of my laptop .
Please help me out !!!

My speakers only one is working
So I recently bought the x360 and love it so far and was really excited for the beats audio, the first one I bought the right speaker was not working . so i retruned it and now the right one is working and not the left , am I going crazy or are both speakers suppossed to amplify sound? please help!
