I'm writing this to any individuals frustrated with the horrid sound quality on their laptop. After a whole night of frustration with trying to find a solution to the problem of hearing only mono sounds with my $100.00 plus headphones and absolutely no bass here is what I found.
Previously I was unable to alter anything in the beats sound control panel.
If you are using Windows 8 as I am you need to go to the control panel and uninstall the IDT audio driver from HP. It will automatically download an older format upon being restarted which will allow you to actually alter the sound settings. It provides much more bass and overall richer quality sound.
