how do i re-enable the integrated idt microphone?

Hi,

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 series Notebook Win7 32

I wanted to mute my integrated idt microphone so selected it and selected disable - now it appears to have vanished from the system and I cannot find it; not in hardware devices (not that I can find anyway) and find new devices doesn't find it.

Any suggestions?
