I've got a Compaq Presario CQ62 with a very strange sound 'fault', just wondering if anyone else has experienced it or knows how to fix it?
The volume buttons (F9, F10, & F11) have a strange habit of kind of regularly temporarily freezing. The volume display shows on the screen when you press any of them but the volume doesn't change at all. If I'm on the internet and they 'freeze', all I have to do is click on another tab along the top or another programme in the taskbar and it unfreezes it. Not a massive issue, but quite annoying none the less, especially as when I got it new a few year ago it obviously just worked as it should.
Anyone any ideas as to what it could be that's causing this glitch? Pretty sure I've checked the audio drivers and they're up to date, but any advice on anything. including drivers, would be greatly received.
