Hey guys!
I bought the HP Envy Spectre 13 (13-2113TU) a while back and everything was smooth and functional until yesterday where I plugged in one of those earphones with the mic designed for phones into the 3.5mm jack. For a second it did not work but after that the external mic was working fine. However I find that after using the earphones, the internal mic is no longer working on skype or anywhere for that matter, and there seems to be no way of testing whether it is functional or not.
In the audio panel, there is only the stereo mix and the external mic option availible under recording devices. I have checked the boxes which says show disabled and disconnected devices but there seems to be no way of activating the interal pic. All audio drivers are up to date and nothing is muted.
Does anyone know what exactly is happening and what measures i could take to fix this issue. Thanks.
