Ok here goes. I have a HP envy dv7, windows 8, internet 10. Since day one I have sound issues when trying to skype. Sounds minor to some, BUT this is a large issue to me.
I have sent this unit back for reapirs twice and still have the issue. HP says call skype, skype said call HP, HP says call microsoft.
I have tried using our old computer and I can skype my grandchildren just find, however when I use the new computer, after a bit I get huge feedback and they can't understand what we are saying. A friend testing it says it sounds like we are talking through a tin can!!!
We have set up both computers and skyped each other in the same house and have the same issue, therefore I don't believe it is the internet, or my sons computer. I believe it it my new computer that no one will fix or replace. I am at a loss and just saw this form and wondered if perhaps someone here could offer some advice.
Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions. I truly believe I have a defective product, but HP will not agree with me, and just want to keep sending it back for the same repair over and over, taking 2-3 weeks at a time.
