Hello.
The audio on my laptop suddently stopped working.
No audio from headphones
No audio from speakers
No Beats audio
No audio at all!!!
The speaker icon has a big red X on it and says "No speakers or headphones plugged in" when you mouse over it. When you open the playback devices window, there is only my LG TV AMD high definition audio device plugged in.
I cant listen to my itunes or watch youtube, the audio doesnt play on itunes and youtube crashes.
When I use the second screen mode with my hdmi to tv hookup cable, the audio works fine on my tv but i noticed the speaker icon on my laptop monitor doesnt have a red x on it. I tried to configure sound back to my laptop from my tv, but its like my laptop doesnt recodnize my sound card. Usually in the AMD vision engine control centrer i just click on the laptop icon to put back the sound on my laptop, but there is no laptop icon or in some cases, the icon is a ghost image and i cant click/select it.
When i open up device manager, i have no audio inputs and outputs tab. It only appears when i hook up my hdmi cable to my tv but its only the tv audio device. Under the "sound, video and game controllers" , i have amd high definition audio device an IDT high definition audio CODEC.
I need help. I no longer have audio on my laptop. I cant even access my beats audio controls. When i open my volume control options, a pop up appears and it says " select which devices show their own volume control" and there,s only my LG TV icon in the list - no laptop audio!!
I had my pc for nearly just a year now and never had any sound issue until this happened today. The pc was working fine earlier today!
please please please help me!!
