Hello,
I've just ordered a new laptop less than a month ago for when I go to college.
One of the things I've noticed out of the box, is that any kind of audio coming out of the laptop will randomly and frequently have these stutter sounds and "Static" sounding hiccups.
The sound is kind of hard to explain...It sounds like the audio is popping in spots as it goes on.
Like it's getting really low fast and coming back in. It's really quick, but happens a lot in my audio.
It's not audio, since the files played perfectly when I moved them to my phone when I copied them to my new laptop
This happens for both audio on the internet and what I have saved on my laptop.
My internet connection is high speed, and running no problem...but it really is a bothersome sound when it occurs.
It used to happen at least once or twice during when it played audio, but I've noticed that it's starting to happen much more.....
The sound occurs both from the speakers and head phones
But there is nothing weird going on when my PC is running
Also, before it starts, it makes a quick pop sound and changes in volume in which ever media I am playing
I've downloaded the latest audio driver from HP, but nothing has changed.
I am really afraid to delete anything that didn't need to be, and I leave for the Art Institute of Tampa in a little more than a week...
The laptop runs okay, and Windows 8 is working for me....but my only concern is the sound it makes during audio
It sounds like "FEV-Bzzzzz-ER"! It sort of makes a "Fade-In/Fade-Out" kind of static sound.
Sometimes it just cuts out the audio for a split second, so it whatever I am listening to sounds like it is stopping and going....
Additionally, the "Stutter" does not cause any lag in video, and the video playing does not show any signs of hiccups
I've tried looking up the problem in other forums, but did not see anything for this kind of problem on my model of laptop and operating system
I am also running on Windows 8 and have not changed or replaced any settings on my PC or installed additions for audio
Also, I got worried when I imported a CD I had into iTunes, the disc drive sounded as if it were running like a plane turbine.
Please help me out if you can, I really like this PC...and I start school really soon.
I should have a warranty, but when I start the HP detection, it won't show up...which really worries me
But when I first did the registration it said 2-years
If nothing works...How fast and easy will it be to send back to HP for repairs or replacement?
This shouldn't be happening straight out of the box....And especially when I REALLY needed an upgrade from my old computer
--------THINGS I'VE ALREADY TRIED--------------
* Downloading the Audio driver for my laptop from HP
* Downloading the BIOS driver from HP
* Unplugging and plugging my headphones
* I tried to switch to my Wireless Bluetooth Headset, but it only sounded better for a little bit...then it started to sound the same
* I turned off all other electronics in my room. That shouldn't be a cause since my much older PC never had that problem
* I even reset my PC to defult settings
