HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-J020eb
Windows 8
Problem:
When nothing is plugged in the headphone jack the speakers works fine.
mixer panel is showing that the speakers are the default audio device.
When i plug in my headphone the default audio device stays on speakers and the output is way too loud.
It's like a headphone is connected directly to the speaker output.
It is impossible to change the standard audio device to communication/headphone.
Every time i plug in my headphone I have to do the following:
1) close all audio programs/browser(streaming).
2) deactivate the speakers
At this moment the keys F6/F7/F8(speakers only) haven't an effect anymore.
So I use the mixer panel to move the slider of the headphone.
3) plug in my headphone.
4) open my audio program or web browser for audio streaming.
Only then I have a normal output on my headphone.
If I plug-out my headphone I have to re-activate the speakers again.
And vice-versa.
The latest driver from HP at this moment is installed.
Why is it when I plug in my headphone the system is not automatically detecting the headphone and changing the standard audio device(Speakers/HP <-> communication-headphones)?
