Audio Port/motherboard might be broken; what might be causing it?

Hello,

I have tried searching for my issue, but did not find anything relatable.

I have been having issues with my audio for quite some time now; I can only plug in my iPhone ears in order for me to get proper sound. Whenever I pull the plug, even just a tiny bit, the sound switches from the ears over to my speakers.

I have asked around here in my area (The Netherlands) and people say it might be expensive getting it fixed, especially since my warranty is off (I only had it for a year). But I'd still like to know the price in Euro's.

Can someone help me to make sure what's causing the audio issues? - Just in case it isn't my motherboard or something like that.
I also have been thinking about buying an external USB audio soundcard in order for me to have proper sound, but since my iPhone ears are working fine, I just thought it'd be best to wait with that.

Here are some system-details;
HP Pavilion G7 (2206-sd)
8GB memory
17,3" screen
i5 Processor
500 GB harddrive

In case you need more information, just let me know.
I'd also like to apologize for my bad English... Dutch is my native language so...

Thanks in advance!
