So I recently moved my computer's hard drive from what was once an HP Pavilion G4-1016dx and I moved my hard drive to an HP Pavilion dv7-6165us. This is because the display on my old computer was ruined and it was easier to replace the computer than to replace the display. After working through some bugs, everything has been running perfectly smoothly except for my audio. I tried to scan my computer on the HP site to figure out if I need to download a driver for it, but the only drivers the site thinks I need are a utility driver and a something else (I can't remember but what's interesting is that for both of these things, I had no issues with what they were said to help, but I downloaded and installed them anyway and after restarting my computer they were no help for my audio).
The headphone jacks were not working either, so I assume it's an issue with a sound card maybe? I've searched all over my computer, but it's telling me I have no audio devices installed. Do you know where I can find what I need to get my audio working?
