My HP 13-m110DX Split x2 (aka 2-in-1) laptop has a single 3.5 mm/1/8" jack for stereo audio output and monophonic microphone audio input.
From my readings in other posts on the Discussion Boards I understand that this jack receives a TRRS 4 conductor plug that is wired as follows to yield left & right audio channels output and a monophonic microphone audio input.
TRRS = Tip, Ring 1, Ring 2, Sleeve:
- Tip - Left channel output
- Ring 1 - Right channel output
- Ring 2 - Microphone input
- Sleeve - Ground or return
Further readings on the web indicate there are a number of different ways these jacks may be wired (e.g. Apple, GPS, Ham Radio, etc.).
- Can you confirm that I have the correct wiring and signal names for my computer's TRRS jack?
and, if possible, - Can you supply an HP reference that documents the wiring and signal names for my computer's TRRS jack.
Thanks!!!!
