HP Pavilion 15 Notebook - Completely remove Beats Audio

HP Pavilion 15 Notebook - Windows 8.1 (64bit)

Hi there, I am having trouble removing Beats Audio from my laptop. I do a lot of work recording sound and part of that means I need to have a completely flat frequency response coming out of my laptop. I've tried disabling Beats Audio (unticking the box) but even when it is unticked, the faders for the EQ can still be manipulated and still have an effect on the audio. There is also no option to uninstall Beats in the control panel.
