No audio for HP Pavilion

For some reason all of a sudden my HP's audio stopped working after I have taken out my headphones.  

I tried repeatedly inserting and removing my headphones to see if the jack pin was stuck, but in the playback devices 

it says headphone is not plugged in. 

I tried uninstalling audio through device manager, removed the battery and AC outlet, and held the power button for 30 secs. I tried resetting default through BIOS. I also repeated the the above steps but instead pressed the power button 5x still no luck. 

Any other suggestion?
