Bought this HP Pavilion 17-f012nx last month but had to reformat. Despite the re-formating and downloading and installing all relevant drivers, I keep experiencing a number of issues. My biggest concern is as follows:
1. No sound from HDTV when connected using HDMI.
Hardware ID: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2882&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000
2. Piccture on HDTV does not occupy entire screen (I'd say it only occupies 70% of the sccreen real estate, centered).
Intel HD Graphics Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0F31&SUBSYS_227C103C&REV_0E
3. Keys repeat intermittentlly - tried setting and changinng repeat rate and repeat delay - nothing worked. Beginning to suspect probblem may bbe hardware related. Thiis is really irritating and I don't know if I can go on using this computer when I havve to keep hitting backspacce to ccorrect what I just typed.
Operating System is Windows 8.1
I also did a hardware detect through Intel's webbsite to make sure that I have the right Intel HD Graphics Drivee - Intel concurred.
I really wannted to likke this laptop, especially for the screen size and the affordable price. Unfortunately, the problems with it are too numerous for my liking.
I look forward to a workable solution.
Thanks.
