Hi,
Yesterday I had sound just fine, I turned off my laptop (HP Envy 17), and it did some updates, and then turned off.. This morning, I turn my laptop on, and I have no sound at all.
Whenever I use the 'troubleshooting' option, it tells me that the problem is not fixed and that one or more audio devices are not running.
I also tried to run the HP support assistant. There was an exclamation mark next to Audio and sound, so I tried to update it using the HP Support Assistant. This was stuck on trying to connect to HP, and this happened for a few hours, so I eventually gave up. I tried to download other drivers using the app, but I could not connect to download and install these. So I uninstalled HP support assistant, and reinstalled it, and now it is not even showing that there is a problem with my sound!
Can someone please help me? I have also looked into drivers using the detection software on the HP website, but it doesn't tell me I need to update my sound drivers.
I am very confused. I don't know if I even need to update my drivers now, or even how I can get my sound back. Could someone please help me?
