I recently had an accident where my notebook fell and hit the floor. It looks like it may have damaged the audio jack (slightly indented).
I can hear fine through headphones but when I take them out there is no sound through the laptop speakers.
I'm guessing that the laptop isn't recognising when the headphones are being removed and it still thinks they are connected?
Is there any way I can fix this? I've spent hours looking for a resolution but as yet haven't found anything.
Can I disable the headphone jack and see if the speakers work? Is there any way I can replace the headphone jack itself?
