Unfortunately, I am not getting any sound from my Compaq V6000. I have re-installed the XP Home Edition.
On the system info / Components / Problem Devices, I see this;
Not Available ....... ACPI\HPQ0006\4&38462492&0 ...... The drivers for this device are not installed
I do not have the motherboard CD or anything of the noteboook but only have the XP Home Edition CD.
The sound device is "Conexant High Definition Audio and on the system information page, it's Status is "OK".
When I check the "Device Manager", I see a yellow question mark "Other Devices" and under it;
? Unknown Device -
Location: Intel(R) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27B9
Device Status: The drivers for this device is not installed (Code 28)
? Unknown Device - Location: Location 65535 (Internal High Definiton Audio Bus)
Device Status: This device is not configured correctly (Code 1)
I can see the "Conexant High Definition Audio" under the "Sound, Video and Game Controllers"
Please help me to solve this "audio" problem on my notebook.
Thanks in advance.
