Installing audio driver wont complete. I am getting error message "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted."
I am using HP Envy 15-3014tx Win 7 Home premium 64bit. I recently replaced my old non working hard disk with a new one. Installed the same OS with the same license and downloaded and installed drivers from HP site. No audio since the new OS had been installed. I have tried following all suggestions from forum, from hard reset, bios update and default settings, and still has the same issue... no audio nor audio device. Checking under Device manager, the only thing that appears are HP Wireless audio adapter, Blue-tooth handsfree audio, and Intel Display Audio.
I learned that you can revert back your machine to OEM settings with the help of Recovery Manager, but that's not an option in this case since this is a freshly installed hard disk.
I am really at my wits end. Need help. Tried troubleshooting the issue the whole day.
