I have a 'HP Split 13 x2 PC' product number E8C36UA#ABA running on WIndows 8.1, and I've noticed recently that my left speaker sounds distorted and crackling. When I did the configuration sound test, in which they isolate the sounds, the left sounds a bit distorted. It sounds worse if I were to higher the volume to even 30.
My laptop has no physical nor water damaged and hasnt been exposed to any of these in the least.
