I have been battling with this problem for a while and the guys from Blackmagic Design gave up (after making sure all my settings in Resolve are ok and the software version supports system audio).
I colour grade with daVinci Resolve 11 (Lite) on the ZBook 17 using the system speakers. Only in Resolve the audio does not play back (other programmes are not affected). The VU meter moves so the audio is recognised, it is just not audible.
Is it possible that the IDT High Definition Audio codec is incompatible with Resolve? I have the latest driver installed. I have also the NVIDIA High Def Audio controller active but since I use no I/O devices I assume this is irrelevant. But to be sure I deactivated the codec and controller alternatively without result.
Is anyone familiar with this problem in Resolve?
