IDT Installer aint working.

Hi! Im running Windows 8, and i followed a tutorial on hp forums to get sound enhancements to work, it told me to unistall my current idt driver and download a newer one. So i did and it works great until it says the hardware detected is not supported by this idt software package. I have a pavilon g6 with 8 gig ram and i5 proccesor. I would need some help, i searched hp forums but didnt get my answer  . I hope someone can help me.
