I downloaded the 2014 bios update. For awhile, it was fine. But after some use of the laptop that same day, I lost sound on my computer. I use the video website youtube and when my computer loses sound, it makes the video stay at 0:00, or there is no sound. When this happens, I restart the laptop and the sound magically comes back.
Sometimes when I boot the computer, I don't have any sound, so I have to boot it up a second time to get sound.
It happens randomly when I lose sound. It is really annoying that I have to restart computers just to hear youtube or anything that makes sound on my laptop.
So far, I have done a hard reset (taking battery out, holding power button down, etc). I also uninstalled the audio driver and had it reinstalled. Neither of these solutions fixed the problem. Also, the problem doesn't always happen right away. It is random when it happens and you never know when it comes. So I would need a list to try as I won't know if something works right away.
I'm not able to do anything on my computer and one time I had to reboot the laptop four times just to get temporary sound on the laptop.
