A few weeks ago I attempted to update my audio driver, the update failed and since then I the driver has not functioned at all. I have tried reupdating the driver to no avail. When I have tried to download and install the proper driver update (IDT HD AUDIO DRIVER Version:6.10.6425.0, 43.27M) from HP Customer Support but after it begins installing it tells me that the hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. I have uninstalled the non-working driver, restarted and attempted to reinstall as administrator even but it still is not working.
