Hi everybody,
I have a HP Laptop dm4-3002sa (beats edition) running windows 8.1 x64. I have the latest (?) IDT audio drivers installed as you can see from the following images:

When I plug a 4-pin headset in my 4-pin port, the system only recognises the speakers part of the headset but not the microphone and the external microphone is always showing as "currently unavailable":

When I was running windows 7 I was able to use the headset with no problems but since I got windows 8/8.1 I was no longer able to use any headset.
I've tried connecting several functional headsets with no success so the problem seems to be between the computer and the software.
Does anybody know a solution for this?
