I have an HP Pavilion dv6-6117dx running Windows 7home 64 bit. The speakers recently stopped working, so I tried plugging headphones in to see if it would play through the headphones. Strangely, as soon as I plug the headphones in (even if I plug them into the mic jack), the speakers on the laptop start working. Unplug the headphones and they stop working again. The headphone also play sound while the onboard speakers are playing. I tried troubleshooting, but I don't have an option to troubleshoot just the speakers, they are listed as "speakers and headphones."
