Pavilion M6 wont apply sound changes

I need to change settings to Sounds on my Pavilion M6  for controls  such as Balance, and Tone .

I can change them OK, but the Apply button is greyed-out, so changes cannot be saved, and I have to repeat the changes time after time.

Any suggestions?
