Is there a fault with my speakers?

Hi there,

I have a HP Pavillion g6 and I believe that there is a fault of some kind with my audio/speakers. Ever since I purchased the laptop; when the volume is 50 or above it will start to echo.
 

At 100 it is literally just noise; the sound becomes high pitched and one continuous tone.

Recently in the last 2 months the sound has been only working out of one side of the laptop instead of the whole area like it should be.

I still have warranty for the product, was just wondering if this is something I can fix myself or if it needs to be looked at by a professional?
