Hello.
i am having a problem with this item which started a couple of weeks ago when i left it running,went away and came back to find it had switched off and the sound was missing.
I have uninstalled the IDT High Definition Audio Codec and associated driver,reinstalled,reinstalled windows 7,i can see that the volume mixer is okay and it isn't muted and also that the device manager says all is well,drivers for windows and hardware are all up to date,ran system scan and everything else i can think of including defrag,norton anti virus,malware checking,windows system sounds are all okay but nothing comes through.
i went along to a local pc world and was told that the speakers may have gone so this may mean that they have to be replaced.
The laptop is running windows 7 64 bit and the product number is A3B46EA#ABU.
Can anyone advice me what would be the best solution as if the speakers need to be replaced then i guess i'll have to do this.
